You need several appliances to help you cooking if you own a hotel. This ensures that you make healthy foods for your customers. Appliances for healthy eating should be strong and durables if they are going to used in a restaurants. There are many types of foods that have to be cooked everyday. Most of these appliances are also used at home but they are usually smaller in size. You can choose the equipment to buy for your restaurant kitchen depending on the types of foods that you going to cook everyday.

Here are some of the most common appliances for healthy eating.

Ovens: You must have at least one in your restaurant kitchen. They are two types that can be used to roast and bake foods. One of them is known as the convection which is has a fan that produces hot air which blows the food consistently. They can be used to cook bread and other foods can be roasted. The type of oven is known as conventional. It has an in built heating element which produces heat to cook the food placed in the oven. It is used in making casseroles and cookies as well as other foods.

Grills and fryers: You will find two types of appliances used in the kitchen to fry foods. They are counter top units and larger deep fryers. You can choose which to use depending on the amount of food that you want to make.
You also need grills in your restaurant kitchen. They can be used to make vegetables and hamburgers. You can buy any of them as a counter top or as a big unit which can stand on its own.

Mixers and slicers: You have to make pastries and loaves of breads and this means that you need mixer. They will help you make good dough. They come in different speeds and this ensures that you can make good foods very fast.

Small wares: In professional kitchens which are usually found in restaurants, small appliances for healthy eating are compulsory. You need them in food processing and the most commonly used appliance is the blender. You can also use other appliances in making sauces and dressings. A blender is used to make juices while a scale ensures that you use the right amount of ingredients when cooking. A microwave comes in handy when you want to thaw some foods very fast.

Grilling 101 BBQ – get to know some useful tips

Are you considering some Grilling 101 BBQ experience? Then this article has some superb tips for your safe grilling or BBQ-ing! First things first, get read for the danger zone! You got to understand the fact that all food items that are kept between 4 and 60°C or 40 and 140°F are under sheer danger of damaging bacterial growth.

Keep your cold food in a cool environment. And keep them under 4°C or 40°F. Similarly, you got to keep your hot food in a sufficiently warm environment. It is better to keep them in a temperature over 60°C or 140°F. You should keep a chart of safe temperatures for your meat, poultry as well as fish.

But for your information, minimal temperature limit for meat which has now been ground or reformed is 71°C or 160°F. A good idea is to slot in your thermometer probe into the centre of your hamburger patty or into the core centre of your sausage and/or hotdogs. Fortunately, exactly the same level of temperature applies for Ground Veal, Ground Beef, Ground Lamb and Ground Pork.

And when it comes to poultry, while checking for the internal hotness of the whole chicken, just insert the probing thermometer. But for getting the exact idea, insert at multiple spots. The ideal temperature should be 82°C or 180°F. But don’t forget to thoroughly check the inner temperature of the breast meat as well as the thigh meat while testing out the whole chicken, turkey, duck or goose. When stuffed it's important that you check temperatures of the meat as well as the stuffing. And don’t forget to probe near its bones too. At least these are the rules of thumb when it comes to Grilling 101 BBQ.
